Vantage Point, a collaborative photography book by Mårten Lange and Daniel Everett

Vantage Point is a collaborative photography book by Swedish artist Mårten Lange and American artist Daniel Everett, published by Actual Source Books. The project began with an unlikely coincidence: in 2016, both artists photographed the exact same scene from the exact same vantage point in Tokyo, just moments apart.

That discovery led to a larger conversation about perspective, memory, and the way two photographers can experience the same place through remarkably similar images. The book brings together photographs from their individual trips to Japan, creating a shared visual record shaped by distance, timing, and observation.

The publication includes 176 pages in an Ota binding with wrapped boards, along with essays by Jesús Vassallo and Paola Paleari. Vantage Point was also featured in FOAM Magazine Issue #56 in 2020.
