A Meaningful Order by OK-RM A Meaningful Order is a design book by OK-RM, the London-based studio of Oliver Knight and Rory McGrath, created with James Langdon. The publication grew from an ongoing conversation between the editors and developed through spoken ideas, writing, exhibition, and the negotiation of its physical form. Across 328 pages, the book presents a new history of the distributed realities of design. It brings together designed objects from more than 16 years of OK-RM’s work, using lithographic printing and a special set of colors to explore vision, material, curiosity, and context. The book is organized through 26 alphabetized chapters from A to Z. It includes a long-form interview with Jack Self and an introduction by Lila Matsumoto, creating a layered dialogue between design practice, language, objects, and culture. Published by InOtherWords in London, A Meaningful Order measures 22.7 × 32 cm. It is both an object of study and an object of art, made for readers, designers, researchers, and collectors of contemporary graphic design.
