INNEN × Welcome Stranger: Peter Sutherland Art Zine | GROUNDFLOOR

Welcome Stranger, a color art zine by Peter Sutherland Welcome Stranger is a color art zine by New York-based artist Peter Sutherland, published by INNEN on the occasion of Printed Matter’s LA Art Book Fair at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA. Published in 2019, this special edition presents Sutherland’s distinctive artistic vision through a compact, carefully produced format. The publication measures 13 × 19 cm and includes 28 pages printed with color offset printing. As a first edition, it reflects INNEN’s interest in focused artist publications that connect contemporary art, photography, independent publishing, and cultural events. Supported by Carhartt WIP, Welcome Stranger was made for a specific art-book-fair context while remaining a strong standalone addition to a personal library. Its portable format makes it easy to collect, read, and place alongside other contemporary art books and zines. INNEN is an independent publisher that showcases contemporary Swiss and international artists through carefully curated publications. This Peter Sutherland edition offers an unconventional perspective on contemporary image-making and the visual culture surrounding independent art publishing.
